Pahud in Saanen

He is one of the best flutists of our time, and he demonstrated it once again at the church in Saanen in collaboration with the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra from Budapest on Friday, 2 September. Emmanuel Pahud opened the scores to some of the most dizzying pages written for his instrument by the great Johann Sebastian Bach as well as the “famous” concerto by Leopold Hofmann that for generations was falsely attributed to Joseph Haydn before handing the stage over to the orchestra for a beautiful orchestral version of Mendelssohn’s Octet.
