Interlaken Classics
The present and future generations of classical music in the Bernese Oberland: since 2007 the Interlaken Classics and the Menuhin Festival Gstaad have been working in collaboration. Under the shared direction of Intendant Christoph Müller, the two festivals have developed independent, complementary profiles. The Interlaken Classics festival provides a platform for outstanding young classical musicians. Leading youth symphony orchestras appear in Interlaken with international star soloists and conductors. Master classes open to the public offer the opportunity to observe the growth and development of future stars in the midst of the Alpine grandeur of the Bernese Oberland. The Interlaken Classics take place before Easter every year, in 2011 from 26 March to 23 April.

The Private Sponsors’ Club
Most of the members of this club are long-standing members of the Friends of the Festival. Their substantial contributions and commitment to classical music strengthens the intendant’s bargaining power and thus the long-term development of the festival.

Menuhin School London
Yehudi Menuhin founded another training institution in 1963: the Menuhin School London for young persons between the age of 12 and 18. Individual course programmes and special targeted training of musical abilities provide the graduates with the ideal qualifications for a professional career in music as well as in other areas. The Menuhin School London Orchestra is guest at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad once every two years. Many of the students return to the festival later – as upcoming or established stars.
