After the great success of the first two editions, the Menuhin Festival is proud to be able to greet once again in Saanenland the great vocal pedagogue Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli and make it possible for talented young musicians to profit from her teaching at the Gstaad Vocal Academy. Solid vocal technique is thus extremely important in order to express music in song. Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli is able to instill this ability by teaching comprehensive vocal techniques developed from the old Italian school that make it possible to create the desired colors and dynamics in every range and at the same time to preserve the voice’s health. Great importance is placed on passaggio, the transition between registers that is the greatest challenge for singers. While the greater part of the course is dedicated to vocal technique, a successful performance also requires expression and interpretation of a piece. Attention: The students will present the results of their work in a concert; the classes themselves are not open to the public.
