During the thirteen years that Christian Zacharias led the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra he left an indelible mark on Switzerland. This includes a preeminent recording of Mozart’s complete piano concertos – with him at the piano and holding the baton – for MDG. Without having abandoned conducting, Christian Zacharias is once again very active as a piano soloist. Following his brilliant stay in 2014, he is back at the festival once again to perform piano works that are very dear to him.
