Born in Bielefeld in 2000, the South Korean violinist SongHa Choi studied at the National Institute for Young Talent and then at Seoul Institute of the Arts, before joining Lutsia Ibragimova's class at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey. She is currently studying with Kolja Blacher at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Winner of the First Prize at the International Competitio for Young Artits 2015 and of the Grand-Prix at the Berlin International Competition in 2018, she took part in the Gstaad String Academy in 2017. She currently plays an instrument and bow kindly loaned to her by Dr Hauber's collection.
