The lineup at Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy 2024 brings forth exciting new talents! Following the performance of the second-place winner at the Tibor Varga Violin Competition Sion 2023 on August 17, we are thrilled to welcome the winner from the same year, the Korean violinist Seohyun Kim. Just like Raphael Nussbaumer, Seohyun Kim kicks off her programme with a solo piece, the breathtaking Sonata in A minor, Op. 27, No. 2 by Ysaÿe (dedicated to his friend Jacques Thibaud). The journey continues with compositions by Grieg and Clara Schumann, before concluding with the famous “Devil’s Trill” sonata by Tartini.
